Before we came here, I had been surfing online to find an apartment to rent. It is a hard job. On the one hand , we wanted to find something that is cheap,quiet and comfortable. Above all , it should be safe and near Yale campus. On the other hand, we are worried that there might be cheating on line so that we are alert to any dishonesty.After much bargain and discussion , we decided on the apartment in Mansfield.
 

The Hotel we stayed in

   On July 1, we came to the apartment to have a look.It took us almost tweny minutes to get to it, which was a much longer distance than the hotel we lived in. To our disappointment , the apartment was hot,stuffy and messy. There were no cooking utensils in the kitchen. The living room  and kitchen had got no doors. One of us , who is supposed to live in it , found this unberable. There would be no privacy and the wind would just run throug, which, in her opinion, is terrible to her health. To add to the
discomfort, we were told there was only one key for the entrance of the building and the apartment.This is the last straw. Our heart sank when we returned to the hotel. We stayed in the lobby of the hotel for several hours. What about staying in hotel for the whole period ?  It is more comfortable with air-conditioning. It is near the campus and there are all shops and restaurants nearby. It is true that it is more expensive, but it is more convenient.It does seem to be a better choice !

            Things are misty and vauge to us

   Of the four of us , I was the only one who did not want to give up. The hunting for the apartment cost me at least ten days. Much energy has been devoted Besides , I valued privacy most . I did not want to share one room with the other three. Since the other three were determined , I was so annoyed that I rushed out into our hotel room . I wrote to the landlady , telling her that we would give up the apartment and the reasons for it. I also emailed the guy who was to give us the keys , asking him not to come to the apartment , as was scheduled. Then, I went to bed and fell asleep.
